Take an insight into the lives of ulama': their lives are simple and it's not hard to communicate with them. They understood the objectives of life, they got what they were looking for and they had gone through that depth of life (Al-Qarni, 2012).
I guess we have been looking for thing in this life but still couldn't find it. Some of us knew what we're looking for while some, still struggling on that.
Some, the worst case, have given up on it.
My advice: Don't give up.
There's an endless possibility out there. If your path have been blocked, bulldoze another path. Or take down whatever blocking your way.
Bulldozing a new path might sound like a run-away solution, where you could simply avoid obstacles and find a different way. Is that one of the things you've been hearing from people? Screw them. Do they know exactly your strength and weaknesses? If you can't take that obstacle down, then seriously, go find another way. Why bother being stuck because you can't crush down a certain wall?
To some people, that wall is their confidence, their ability, and things that they need to overcome on their own. To some others maybe, it's cultural value, family, any hearts attached, or any other consequence they have to deal with. Each choice have their own drawbacks. Don't bother what others say about your choice. What matters is, are you strong enough to deal with the consequence of your choice? Don't ever dream of a path so easy.. that is, unless you rather live an aimless life of being mentally gone. Which might seem all pretty but you're definitely losing all the beautiful things REAL life have to offer.
Looking back at all this, why did you feel life is hard anyway? Did everything fail you? What was your everything? What is?
Life is a journey. It's not like you can already see the end of it. There's always some havoc in the middle. If you want happiness, make sure you wish it for the ending. If you wish for a smooth and easy journey, you might reach to a bad end. Struggle is part of the circle.
That's why, if you're looking for knowledge, you'll see the bright in things rather than the bad; because, you will believe that it happened for a reason.
For every action, there's an equivalent opposite reaction.
In a way, that'll make you a bit more happier. And joy is something you share :)

I'm studying hard for finals right now.
To all those who are struggling in their life, go grab a book and read for the fun of it.
Life is not so bad.
Thank you.
